Campaign Project Manager

Job Description:

Camfed (www.camfed.org) is a fast-paced and award-winning organisation that invests in girls’ education and young women’s empowerment as the route to lasting change in Africa.

We are seeking a part-time Project Manager for a period of five to six months (on a consultancy or fixed term contract basis) to oversee the teams and deliverables for a dedicated UK fundraising and communications campaign. The Project Manager will support the Individual Giving, Development and Communications teams.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter experienced in project-managing charity or similar public-focused marketing/advertising campaigns, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and communication partners, and managing a multitude of digital and print projects to a very high standard.

The Project Manager’s role will be to ensure the timely delivery of communications and fundraising events and materials, making sure that team members meet internal and external sign-off deadlines, collating and proofing content, and managing the sign-off process.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in project management, ensuring the delivery of high quality projects to strict deadlines in a professional environment.
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task, working to tight deadlines.
  • Experience delivering digital and print campaigns.
  • Excellent communications and proofreading skills, with great attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent team manager with very good interpersonal skills, initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Pronounced leadership skills with the ability to keep others motivated and on-task.
  • Flexibility in distribution of hours to meet project demands.
  • Up-to-date IT experience, especially Google Drive and docs, and Microsoft Office products, and project management tools.
  • Experience of working with web teams to create and test bespoke campaign content.
  • An excellent eye for images and the messages they convey.
  • Eligible to work in UK.

Highly Desirable:

  • Interest in international development.
  • Track record of working across teams and with diverse clients and partners.
  • Familiarity with individual giving/direct marketing principles and practices.
